PacketStorm 8XG is an IP network emulator that simulates network fault phenomena (such as packet loss, delays, and fluctuations), known transmission characteristics, events, etc, for network packets passing through it. Its media interface is equipped with two media module cages and supports SFP+/SFP28/QSFP28 modules. These can be toggled to a rate of 10/25/100Gbps via a software switch. In addition, functions that are useful for validating PTP networks are available as an option. Recent years have seen a rapid increase in PTP applications, such as 4K/8K broadcasting, 5G base station networks, securities trading networks, in-vehicle control devices, and other synchronization technologies that require high speed, high accuracy, and high reliability.
